Zevvy completed a CHF 1.2 million financing round successfully with the support of StartAngels Switzerland under Norbert Zeller, who will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors at zevvy AG.

The sustainable billing platform zevvy records a successful financing round and makes significant progress in the market. With a capital injection of over CHF 1.2 million, the company is strengthening its position and developing into the leading provider in Switzerland. The CHF 1.2 million financing round was successfully completed with the support of StartAngels Switzerland under Norbert Zeller, who will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors at zevvy AG. Zevvy offers an innovative billing platform that helps sustainable apartment buildings to easily organise their energy future, particularly in the areas of solar power, heating and charging stations. As a hardware-independent online solution, the company has successfully established itself as the market leader. The ongoing digital transformation in the area of multi-party buildings continues to drive demand for zevvy.

Versatile billing platform

zevvy’s billing platform works seamlessly with a variety of devices and systems, including established solutions such as HOOC, Solar Manager, Brunata, ista, smarte-me and others. This versatility enables the efficient use of data for billing energy and ancillary costs, which significantly reduces the administrative burden in multi-party buildings. This facilitates the implementation of solar projects and enables fair data-based billing of heating costs.

Lock-in effect of proprietary systems avoided

Various service providers use the platform under their own logo for the billing of sustainable apartment buildings and sites. Michael Jastrob, CEO of Enpuls AG, emphasises the efficiency of the user-friendly online platform: “Thanks to zevvy, our processes are more efficient and we can manage more properties with the same number of employees.” Enpuls AG has now successfully migrated its entire portfolio to the zevvy platform.

Markus Reich, CEO of Prola AG, emphasises: “We are now combining our extensive technical building technology experience with zevvy’s billing services and have founded PROLA Services GmbH for this reason.”

Thanks to zevvy, the lock-in effect of proprietary systems is avoided, which improves the sustainability of entire property portfolios. The independence of the billing software makes it possible to combine or replace different devices over the life of the property. In addition, sustainability and ESG reports can be automated by using zevvy’s energy data via open interfaces.

Continue on the independent path

Cyrill Burch, CEO of zevvy AG, emphasises: “The shortage of skilled workers means that we cannot provide engineers to support every building with energy billing, although the demand is growing due to the decentralised energy transition.” zevvy has set itself the goal of highly automating the billing of solar power and charging stations in multi-party buildings in particular.

In a successful round of investors, zevvy has now secured new capital to continue on its independent path. The exclusively private investors include well-known entrepreneurs such as Andy Siemers, Christoph Brütsch, Essi Fischer, Mirko Kleingries, Rolf Hunkeler, Ronald Roccioletti and others. Institutions such as the ZKMU Foundation and the Innovation Fund Association of Alternative Bank Switzerland have also emphasised their interest in the start-up with investments.

The CHF 1.2 million financing round was successfully completed with the support of Start Angel Switzerland under Norbert Zeller, who is taking on the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors at zevvy AG. zevvy received further support from Business Angels Aargau, zünder (from ITZ) and Venture Club Innerschweiz (VCI). Further co-investors have the opportunity to invest under the same conditions until February 2024 (so-called “gobble-up”).
